13) Hydrotherapy Aquatic Safety Certificate (New Units) 🏊

The RLSS Hydrotherapy Rescue Award is recognised as the minimum standard for a qualified physiotherapist.

This course will enhance he knowledge and skills to develop the awareness of specific rescue equipment‚ level of judgement‚ technique and physical ability required to safely carry out water rescues in a hydrotherapy venue.

The Hydrotherapy Rescue Award offers a certificate of attendance which will outline the theoretical and practical skills demonstrated for water rescue skills.

This course also requires practical application of Resuscitation that will require kneeling on the floor and a range of practical scenarios with candidates on the floor.

Candidates need to successfully complete the practical components under the award conditions in order to achieve a Certificate of attendance in Hydrotherapy Rescue and a Statement of Attainment for Provide Resuscitation.

The Unit of Competency achieved upon successful completion of Provide Resuscitation is:
· HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The Royal Life Saving Provide Resuscitation component needs to be renewed every 12 months.
