DESCRIPTION:10) Pool Lifeguard Award 🛟 \n2024 PLG AWD\n\n\nThe Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Course offers participants with acceptable standards of knowledge‚ judgement and physical abilities in the supervision of people in swimming pools.  Essential modules include: accident prevention‚ administration\, public relations\, education\, rescue response and basic technical operation.\n\nPre-requisite: Current First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate\nMinimum age: 16 years\nCourse Length:\n\n	Face-to-face - 16 hours\n	Blended - 16 hours\n\nUnits of Competency:\n\n\n	HLTAID009 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation‚\n	SISCAQU019 Supervise patron safety in aquatic locations\n	SISCAQU020 Perform water rescues\n	SISCAQU021 Perform complex water rescues\n	SISCAQU022 Provide oxygen resuscitation and therapy in an aquatic environment\n\nRe-Accreditation: 12 months\nLevel of English: A reasonable level of English is required to be able to complete this course successfully\n \nIs this the right course for me? The following physical activities will occur during the course unless you advise of any physical difficulties or limitations: kneeling‚ bending over‚ crouching‚ standing‚ leaning‚ sitting‚ pushing\, lifting weights\, swimming long distances\, towing\, diving\, carrying and other physical activity. \n \n\n\n\nTarget Audience:\n\n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\n\n\nLearning Methods:\nCourse dates close one week before the commencement of the course so that participants have sufficient time to complete all pre-course learning activities. Pre-course learning activities need to be completed before the face-to-face component. The pre-course work will develop your underpinning knowledge for the course to be undertaken.\n\nThis course is offered in two formats':\n\n	Blended Learning: Student complete learning (knowledge content) and assessment online prior to attending a face-to-face practical session  \n	Face-to-Face Course: Students are provided a pre-course workbook with information and questions to complete‚ prior to attending a face-to-face session where your trainer will cover both theory and practical components.\n\nParticipants will require to bring the following to the face-to-face component:\n\n\n	Photo Identification (i.e. Drivers Licence)\n	Your Unique Student Identifier (www.usi.gov.au)\n	Appropriate Clothing\n	Any drinks‚ meals and/or snacks \n\nIf you have a medical condition\, which the trainer should be aware of\, please notify him/her prior to the commencement of the course.
