DESCRIPTION:03) Provide First Aid ⛑ \nFirst Aid\n\n\nThe Royal Life Saving Provide First Aid Course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations‚ including community and workplace settings.\n\nThe course aims to establish competence in the required skills and knowledge‚ judgement and physical abilities required to provide a first aid response to a casualty.\n \nPre-requisite: There are no pre-requisites for this course\nMinimum age: 14 years\nCourse Length: 8 hours\n\nUnits of Competency:\nUpon successful course completion\, participants will be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment with the following units of competency:\n• HLTAID009 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation\n• HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support\n• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid\n\nRe-Accreditation: 3 years (CPR 12 months)\nLevel of English: A reasonable level of English is required to be able to complete this course successfully\n\nVirtual (online) Delivery\nThis course is delivered in a virtual (online) manner. You will need access to a computer\, with webcam and stable internet connection. Please consider if a virtual courses is best suited for you prior to enrolling.\n\nIs this the right course for me? If you are unsure please call us on 3823 2823 or email courses@rlssq.com.au for further assistance in choosing the right course for you.\n \nNote: Royal Life Saving is not a CRICOS provider; we are unable to provide national recognised training to overseas students holding a student visa.\n\nIntroduction:\nThe information provided here will assist you in deciding if the course selected is the right course for you.\nIt is assumed that participants are sufficiently physically fit and healthy to undertake this course.\n\nThe following physical activities will occur during the course unless you advise of any physical difficulties or limitations: kneeling‚ bending over‚ crouching‚ standing‚ leaning\, sitting\, pushing\, lifting weights\, carrying and other physical activity. \n \n\n\n\nTarget Audience:\nAny individual who wants or needs first aid and CPR/AED training for all people - infants\, children and adults.\n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\n\n\nLearning Methods:\nCourse dates close one week before the commencement of the course so that participants have sufficient time to complete all pre-course learning activities. Pre-course learning activities need to be completed before the face-to-face component. The pre-course work will develop your underpinning knowledge for the course to be undertaken.\n\nThis course is offered in two formats':\n\n	Blended Learning: Student complete learning (knowledge content) and assessment online prior to attending a face-to-face practical session  \n	Traditional Face-to-Face Course: Student are provided a pre-course workbook with information and questions to complete\, prior to attended a face-to-face session where your trainer will cover both theory and practical components.\n\nParticipants will require to bring the following to the face-to-face component:\n\n\n	Photo Identification (i.e. Drivers Licence)\n	Your Unique Student Identifier (www.usi.gov.au)\n	Appropriate Clothing\n	Any drinks‚ meals and/or snacks \n\nIf you have a medical condition\, which the trainer should be aware of\, please notify him/her prior to the commencement of the course.
